Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to govern the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in a manner that recognizes the right of privacy of Representatives with respect to their personal information and the need of Athletics NorthEAST Running Club Inc. (ANE) to collect, use, or disclose personal information.
Definitions
- Organization – includes an association, a partnership, a person, an unincorporated association, a trust, a not for profit organization, a trade union, and a corporation.
- Personal Information – any information about an identifiable individual.
- Personal Health Information – any health information about an identifiable individual.
- Representatives - Prospective members and all categories of membership defined by ANE, as well as all individuals employed by, or engaged in activities with, ANE including, but not limited to, athletes, coaches, coordinators, judges, officials, volunteers, managers, administrators, committee members, directors, and officers.

This policy applies to Representatives in connection with personal information that is collected, used, or disclosed by ANE.

- ANE adopts to the extent which may be applicable the Privacy Policy of Athletics Canada (https://athletics.ca/privacy-policy/), and will be bound to and adhere to its provisions.

ANE Privacy Officer: ANE will appoint a Privacy Officer who will be responsible for the implementation of this Policy and monitoring information collection and data security, and ensuring that all staff receives appropriate training on privacy issues and their responsibilities. The Privacy Officer also handles personal information access requests and privacy complaints.
